Excitement, determination, and competitiveness is running through the minds of the Big Bend Viking Baseball team. As they work hard to push past their limits, in order to step on our home turf to beat their competitors, Saturday February 22. More than half the Viking’s roster are freshman this year. They have brought new strengths and strategies for our rivals to face this 2020 NWAC season.
When the Vikings start preseason facing one of their top rivals, they will be given the opportunity to make a statement. By showing their competitor who takes the W on their home turf. Coaches are most confident in their pitching, fielding, and hitting abilities. Our head coach sates that “on the defensive side, our pitching staff will defiantly put up challenges for the opposing team’s offense. With our staff averaging anywhere from 84-93 mph. Then followed by our position players putting up runs to back them up”. His confidence assures that the Vikings will start the season strong.
